COMMERCIAL MARINE NETWORK - GET SET FOR WORKBOAT 2050 - SERIES 3
Series 3 of Get Set for Workboat 2050 looked at practical applications of decarbonisation and provided examples of businesses and workboat operators who are employing technology, innovation, and design to reduce their carbon footprint.
Our expert panels demonstrated the benefits and efficiencies being gained by commercial marine businesses who are leading the way forward on the route to net zero.
The final session in the series was held at Seawork on Tuesday 13th June 2023. This session focused on Port Infrastructure & Alternative Fuels - Onshore & Offshore fuelling systems – building the fuel mosaic for future bunkering and support infrastructure.
Kerrie Forster, CEO of The Workboat Association, and Andy Page, MD of Chartwell Marine, were joined by speakers from the UKHMA, Oasis Marine, MJR Power & Automation, and MSE International who discussed how the commercial marine and workboat sector are working to find practical solutions to fuelling both onshore and offshore.
This session addressed new technology systems designed to help support offshore charging - how they are working in operation and the impact for vessel design. This finale to the series also looked at infrastructure support activity at ports and what is needed to meet future bunkering requirements?
